About Method X
Method X was founded by former professional dancer Rebecca Mitchell (formerly Rebecca Hall) in 2016 with a clear purpose: to give dancers the physical tools they need not just to perform, but to thrive.
After experiencing firsthand the demands of a professional dance career, Rebecca recognised a critical gap in traditional training. While technique classes build artistry, many dancers lack the strength, stability, and conditioning required to support their bodies through the intensity of full-time training and performance. This gap often leads to injury, burnout, and shortened careers.
Method X was created to change that.
Blending dance science with strength and conditioning principles, Method X trains dancers as athletes. The program focuses on building strength, improving alignment, enhancing control, and supporting injury prevention — all essential components for long-term success in dance.
For young dancers especially, this foundation is vital. As training hours increase and bodies develop, the risk of injury rises. Method X equips dancers with the resilience, awareness, and physical capacity needed to safely progress, perform at a higher level, and sustain a lasting career.
More than just a conditioning program, Method X is an investment in longevity — empowering dancers to move better, perform stronger, and stay in the art form they love for years to come.
